How to Clean How to Clean Toilet Water Rings

I see water rings inside my toilet. What can I do to get rid of these?

Generally, toilet rings will scrub-off using a powdered cleaning product, baking soda or a pumice stone (or pumice scouring stick). If using a powdered cleaning product, sprinkle the entire toilet bowl with plenty of cleansing powder and scrub with a plastic bristle toilet brush. Flush the bowl and repeat the process until the rings disappear.

How to prevent toilet water rings

You can try adding some white vinegar to your bowl once a week to help prevent toilet rings from showing up as often. Add approximately 1/2 to a full cup of vinegar. Close the lid and let sit for 24 hours. Repeat the process once a week.

Protect your porcelain toilet

Some harsh abrasives may damage porcelain. Always use a plastic bristle cleaning brush and never a metal brush on porcelain to avoid scratching. Once porcelain is scratched you might have to replace your toilet. Hydrochloric acid can be used for deep stains but be careful it doesn’t erode-away your porcelain and should only be used for a limited amount of time and under controlled conditions.
